Graveyard of notes

How often have you had the good intention of taking notes and yet let them turn into a graveyard of scribbles you never revisit?

I have been there multiple times. I signed up for the latest hot note-taking app (Notion, Obsidian, and friends), jot down several notes, and never touch them again.

Note-taking apps assumes you are always writing and editing. Fernsage is designed for reading first. Editing your pages is an intentional action, as it should be. You don't want to accidentally rearrange your library.

The scratchpads still have their place, just like how physical notebooks are still valuable. But to compound your knowledge and remember them for a long time, you need to intentionally create a structured system.

Don’t just take notes, compound your knowledge.
